Become qualified as a Teacher's Aide in Melbourne's West or via Distance Learning


Are you looking to work or already working in education support? Customised Training is now taking enrolments in the newly revised Certificate III and Certificate IV in Education support.


Once you’ve completed either the Cert III or Cert IV you will have a greater insight into providing support to a wide range of students, supporting reading, writing, numeracy and literacy skills of students and so much more.


Why Study Education Support?

Working in Education Support (also known as a Teachers Aide) is great for a parent who wants to be home for their school age children. 

According to the Victorian Skills Gateway, employment prospects for Teacher's Aides over the next 5 years are good. 

There are currently 17,600 Education Aides in Victoria and over the next five years, these numbers are expected to grow. 

On completion of these qualifications you may seek employment in the following areas: Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander education officer, 

  • education assistant (special needs),
  • education support worker, home tutor,
  • homeland teaching assistant,
  • Indigenous language and culture teaching assistant,
  • language worker,
  • literacy worker,
  • support worker (children with disabilities),
  • teacher aide, teacher assistant and other non-teaching positions designed to support educational programs in schools and other educational institutions.  



Both the Certificate III in Education Support CHC30213 and Certificate IV in Education Support CHC40213 are available via classroom and distance learning. 

  • To be eligible to study via distance learning you must live within 120 kilometres of Bacchus Marsh.

Course fees will depend on your elgibility for Goverment funding.
