This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.


There are no pre-requisites for entry into this qualification,, however you will be required to complete an LLN test prior to enrolment for entry into this qualification, which will determine your suitability for this course. This qualification provides the skills and experience required to work in aged services; either in residential, home or community based environments. To achieve this qualification, you must complete at least 120 hours of work placement in an appropriate aged care facility. If you are currently employed in this industry you are able to complete your required hours at your workplace, however we will require a letter from your employer stating your current employment status at the service.
