If so, you may well be on your way to becoming one of tomorrow’s best early childhood leaders. This qualification provides individuals with the skills and knowledge required to advance their career within children’s services and work towards leading a team. Throughout the course you will learn how to plan, implement and manage quality education programs, facilitate compliance, lead and develop others as well as produce workplace policies and procedures.
It is a requirement under the Education and Care Services National Regulations that 50% of the Educators working with children hold their CHC50113 – Diploma of Early Childhood and Care.


There are no pre-requisites for entry into this qualification, however you will be required to complete an LLN test prior to enrolment for entry into this qualification, which will determine your suitability for this course. You must be employed in a relevant position OR will need to arrange a suitable practical placement, working or volunteering to fulfil the practical placement hours listed (120 – 240 hours). Should you be using your current employment as evidence of mandatory placement hours, the role must have access to all age ranges 0-5yrs, otherwise you may need to seek additional placement hours. When enrolling into this qualification you will be required to have a current WWCC prior to commencement. If you have a Certificate III in Early Childhood (CHC30113 or CHC30712) you may be eligible for Credit Transfer or Gap Training, however a Certificate of your prior qualifications will be required prior to enrolment.
