This qualification reflects the role of workers with responsibility for designing, implementing and evaluating health and leisure activities, and programs for clients in one or more sector areas. Many people have what are called ‘barriers to participation’, which are conditions or situations that make it harder for them to join in on certain things. This course teaches you how to help overcome those barriers through  leisure activities such as art, crafts or even sports.

Work may be in residential facilities and/or in community agencies and day centres.

Pre-Requisites

It is a requirement of this qualification to undertake a minimum of 120 hours of practical placement in an employed or volunteer capacity.
